Work areas are physical locations where your employees work when they're scheduled. A work area can be any designated space within your organization, such as a workstation in the kitchen, a store within your chain, a production line or manufacturing floor, or a specific area like a patient ward, pharmacy, or emergency room.

Creating and configuring Work areas

• To create a new Work area, click on Add a work area. To edit an existing Work area, simply click on its card.
• Each Work area includes a title, a description (free-text), and an associated icon.
• Enable or disable Work areas for easy visibility of active or inactive work zones.
• Link employees to specific Work areas to designate their primary scheduling zones. An employee can be linked to multiple Work areas as needed.

Using Work Areas with Superplan Auto-scheduler ✨

When using the Auto-scheduler, you have the option to prioritize the rule "Schedule employees to their work areas."

Enabling this rule allows the Auto-scheduler to consider the employees' links to specific work areas, prioritizing that they receive shifts that are associated with their linked work areas. This helps streamline scheduling efficiency and ensures that employees are assigned to appropriate jobs.
